Who we are
Burda Live is operated by Burda LLC, a UAE-registered fashion house. The platform you're using lives at live.burdauae.com and is the live-shopping channel for Burda's catalog.
As a viewer / customer
You can watch shows, comment in chat, and reserve products. Be kind in chat — we hide content that's harassing, hateful, or spammy.
When you reserve a product (typing "1" or "MINE" in chat), we hold the item for 10 minutes while a Burda team member opens a private conversation with you to close the sale. After 10 minutes the hold expires and the stock returns to the show.
Purchases are processed by Shopify under Burda's existing store terms. Returns, refunds, and shipping policies follow Burda's storefront policy ↗.
As a stylist (seller)
You apply via /sellers/signup. If approved, Burda assigns you a slice of its catalog you can feature in live shows, plus a commission target.
Inventory. Burda owns 100% of the inventory. You're a featured curator — not a marketplace seller. You don't hold stock, ship orders, or take payment.
Commission. Burda pays commission against the tier set in your stylist agreement, computed against attributed sales (orders that came from your live shows). Commission only accrues on orders Burda receives payment for. Targets and rates are reviewed quarterly.
Conduct. While live, represent Burda's brand and the products accurately. Don't make medical, performance, or guaranteed-result claims about the items. Burda may end a show or pause your account if guidelines aren't followed.
Termination. Either side can end the relationship with 30 days' notice. Earned-but-unpaid commission is settled at the next regular payout cycle.
What Burda does
Run the platform. Process payments through Shopify. Pay commission on time. Provide reasonable uptime (we target 99% but don't guarantee specific SLAs at this stage).
We may suspend the platform briefly for maintenance or to fix security issues. We'll communicate in advance when possible.
What's not allowed
Reverse-engineering, scraping at scale, attempting to access other users' accounts, abusing the chat or messaging features, or using the platform to sell anything other than the assigned Burda catalog. Violations end access without notice.
Liability
The platform is provided "as is." Burda's total liability to any one viewer or stylist is capped at the amount you've paid Burda in the prior 12 months (or AED 0 for free viewers).
Disputes are governed by UAE law, settled in Dubai courts.
Changes
We update these terms when we change platform behavior in a way that affects your usage. Significant changes are emailed to active stylists and surfaced as a banner on /live for viewers.
